Really tried because of work these days.
But i managed to go to a JAZZ concert tonight, the amazing Jacques Loussier Trio.
WONDERFUL and i got no other words to describe. All 3 of them are rather old, Jacques Loussier even walk real slow on the stage. But his figures are just incredibly flexible when playing the music.
I think classical is boring, because of the "long-winded" and fixed structure. Loussier tried to make classical more fun. I really love it and i am sooo glad to have chance to hear them play live, because i am not sure whether they are gonna continue this kind of tiring tour at their old age.
They even played by favourite classical piece - Bolero!!! How could they played this piece with only 3 people yet still managed to build up from the begining to the end to give you a feeling that you're listening to an orchestra instead of a trio?
AMAZING!! actually the concert is a bit short (just until 10pm) with 1 piece for encore, but i guess their physical strengh must not be as capable as before. I can only go back and listen to my cd then.....
