Dear Friends,
I am sure all of you gonna understand my struggle: wanting to write everything about the trip yet, being lazy and later, forgetful.
I was thinking maybe i should at least write a bit of summary before i decide to do give up on writing. So, here you go:
Hokaido, the northern part of Japan, such a large piece of land. I often heard that You can definitely go to Hokaido 64 times without being bored. Probabaly because of the distint scenary of 4 different areas, seasons, the variation in kinds of food and activities you can try.
I stayed mainly in Sapporo region as the grandma's house is right there.
The weather was finally a bit warmer after the cold and dry winter. I was just wearing a long sleeves t-shirt under strong sunshine and needed to put on a rather thick jacket at night. It reminds me of the weather in London (summer).
The air is so fresh out there, i can smell the sweetness of the air, mixed with flowers, grass.....................
My favourite place is definitely the Moerenuma Park, simply becoz it contains everything nice: Art (Modern), grass and sunshine!
I was amazed by how Japanese people try to ultilize rubbish, yes rubbish.
THe Moere Park was actually sculpted out of 198 hectare wate disposal site. The "designer" of the park - Isamu Noguchi believed that art and scuplture should be useful. He wanted to let public enjoy the fun of art and sculpture without visiting museums or exhibitions, but through family gathering in some play areas and picnics.

Here are some pictures of the park and you will be amazed by the beauty of the scenary and the fresh feeling of visiting such "play area for family"

We climbed up the play mountain which is just of the right height and enjoyed the perfect view of sapporo city.
We lied down on the lawn and have a nap.
We visited the Noguchi museum to see his works.
We ate softcream and chase after dogs under the blue sky.
Nothing could be better!
Special thanks to Hiroko-san for taking us to such a beautiful park. (i love her as she is an artist - she made lots of pretty wooden scuplture at her home)

Besides the park, i also loved the famous brand of hokaido snacks - 六花亭
Beside all those buttery and creamy cakes and biscuits, the magic of 六花亭 is probabaly their package.
You simply cannot resisit the colorful yet designer-liked package paper.

My favourite is of coz the rasin cream cookies...yummy!!
This is the second time for me to visit hokaido, the first time might be 20 years ago, which my mom told me i was crying and nose bleeding like a hell and probabaly did nothing else. I am so glad that this time is much much much more enjoyable!!
